Join a special dialogue we are calling an

Issachar Forum

These forums are based upon what the Bible says in

I Chronicles 12:32

"...the sons of Issachar who had understanding of the times, to know what Israel ought to do..."

Thus, we will be discussing how to "understand (our) times" and "what (we) should do" as believers from a Biblical World view,

with questions that you can enter through

a "Q & A" chat during the meeting.

See the links and information below on how to connect.

What we are here to do…

Foundation of Forums

A personal relationship with God through Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord (John 14:6)

Framework of Forums

The Logos (Revelation Word) and Rhema (Communicating Word) of God

(Hebrews 4:12; I Corinthians 2:13; John 6:63)

Focus of Forums

Understanding the times and the seasons by hearing The Spirit of God through The Word of God and one another as to what we as God’s people should do  (I Chronicles 12:32)

Format of Forums

Asking questions, seeking the Lord by prayer and knocking using Scriptural scholarship and inspiration to receive, find and open up prophet guidance and instruction (Luke 11:9-13)

Fruit of Forums

“For edification, exhortation and comfort,” and to know how we ought to conduct yourself in the house of God, which is the church of the living God, the pillar and ground of the truth.”

(I Corinthians 14:3 and I Timothy 3:15)

What we are NOT
here to do…

  • We will NOT prognosticate and speculate beyond our areas of calling and expertise
  • We will NOT attempt to figure out exact timelines for God’s plan, beyond a specific Word from The Lord

  • We will NOT stir up or propagate fear

  • We will NOT use any other source as an authority above The Word of God in contemplating the times and the seasons

  • We will NOT exalt our opinions

(personal thoughts and opinions may be shared, by kept in submission to the abovementioned objectives)

Beyond this, everything that pertains to life and godliness is open for examination!

  • Faith - Bible, God, Man, Christ Salvation, Sin, Evil...
  • Family – Marriage and Parenting...
  • Government and Politics
  • Economics
  • International Relations
  • Law and Policies
  • Gender Identity
  • Science
  • Education
  • Eschatology (End Times)...

I don’t have an answer yet for that and we will have to study and seek The Lord

is an acceptable answer.

The Centrality of biblical theology

II Timothy 3:1-16

II Peter 1:16-21

I Corinthians 2

A spirit is at the core of everything

The question is…which one?

James 3:13-18

I john 2:15-23; (2:24-3:23)

3:24-4:6

…Love

Seeking purity

in a perverted world

Consider the

8 attributes:

  • Spirit
  • Mind
  • Will
  • Emotion
  • Body
  • Family
  • Community
  • Economy

Consider the

7 pillars:

prayer

praise

worship

obedience

study

stewardship

evangelism

The “proverbial” contrast…

Throughout the bible

Proverbs 4:14-27

Blessed are the pure in heart, For they shall see God.” – Matthew 5:8

Consider the 8 attributes:

Spirit

*Hebrews 10:11-22

*Galatians 5:1-6; 16-26

Mind

The words of the Lord are pure words, Like silver tried in a furnace of earth, Purified seven times.

– psalms 12:6

Also, Psalms 19:8; 119:140; Proverbs 30:5

Therefore, laying aside all malice, all deceit, hypocrisy, envy, and all evil speaking, as newborn babes, desire the pure milk of the word, that you may grow thereby, if indeed you have tasted that the Lord is gracious.” – I Peter 2:1-3

“Therefore gird up the loins of your mind, be sober, and rest your hope fully upon the grace that is to be brought to you at the revelation of Jesus Christ as obedient children, not conforming yourselves to the former lusts, as in your ignorance; but as He who called you is holy, you also be holy in all your conduct, because it is written, “’Be holy, for I am holy.’”

– I Peter 1:13-16

(Leviticus 11, 19, 20 and 21)

“Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy—meditate on these things

– Philippians 4:8

Will

“All the ways of a man are pure in his own eyes, But the Lord weighs the spirits.” – proverbs 16:2

*I Timothy 1:3-11

Emotions

Psalms

Jeremiah

Jesus

Be angry, and do not sin. Meditate within your heart on your bed, and be still. Selah”

- Psalm 4:4 (Ephesians 4:26)

Body

“Or do you not know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God, and you are not your own? For you were bought at a price; therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s.” – I Corinthians 6:19, 20

Family

Married

Single

Community

Psalm 1

Flee also youthful lusts; but pursue righteousness, faith, love, peace with those who call on the Lord out of a pure heart. – II Timothy 2:22

Pure and undefiled religion before God and the Father is this: to visit orphans and widows in their trouble, and to keep oneself unspotted from the world.”

– James 1;27

Economy

“seek first the kingdom of god and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.”

- Matthew 6:33

We ought to obey god rather than men

Romans 13:1-7

Acts 4:19; 5:29

Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for He who promised is faithful. And let us consider one another in order to stir up love and good works, not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as is the manner of some, but exhorting one another, and so much the more as you see the Day approaching.

- Hebrews 10:23-25
